Message from CEO

As the largest and leading cement manufacturer in Sri Lanka, INSEE Cement remains an exemplary corporate citizen responsible for its people, its environment and its communities. Our investment in industry-transforming sustainable construction solutions alongside the sustainable development of our local communities creates shared value for all our stakeholders, and a strong foundation for an ever-evolving business and its continued success.

As the only fully integrated cement manufacturer in Sri Lanka, INSEE Cement plays an integral role in the expediting infrastructure development across the country, which also calls for resolute efforts to minimize the impact of our business operations on the ecosystem. Sustainability has become a defining part of our identity, and over the years we have worked diligently to incorporate sustainability into everything we do, and the way we operate.

Today, we have focused our efforts into the all-encompassing INSEE Sustainability Ambition 2030, a comprehensive, long-term, group-wide strategy that helps us align ourselves with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, Science Based Targets initiative, and other global and industrial standards, heeding the universal call to action to balance social, economic and environmental sustainability. Our initiatives cascade down three pillars; Climate & Energy, Biodiversity & Water, and Circular Economy, driven by mutually beneficial Community & Stakeholder Engagement, and a strong foundation of Occupational Health & Safety standards.

With clear targets, strategies and mapped timelines, we are confident of the impact and transformation INSEE Cement will continue to have on the industry as we strive to meet our ambitious corporate sustainability goals, and we are hopeful that our every action and decision reflects INSEE Cement’s commitment to strategically, attentively and sustainably ‘build the nation’.

Looking forward to building a sustainable future with you,
