Jan Kunigk is the Company’s Executive Vice President and its Commercial Director, responsible for Marketing, Sales, Products & Solutions, Innovation, and External Affairs for the Cement entity and both business units, INSEE Concrete (Ready Mix), and Conwood by INSEE (innovate wood replacement products).
Prior to assuming duties at INSEE Cement Mr. Kunigk was Senior Vice President of publicly listed Holcim Indonesia where he transformed the company’s culture from a product centric to a customer centric one. He was responsible for revenues exceeding USD 1 Bio with cement sales of 8 Mio tons, Ready Mix Concrete of 2 Mio m3, and 3 mio tons of aggregates per annum. He initiated the commercialization of new solutions and ensured #3 market position while competitive intensity more than doubled.
Mr. Kunigk gained significant experience during his tenure at the Swiss Based Holcim Group where he held various senior management positions, such as Regional Head – Strategy & Business Development for South Asia/ASEAN region, Project leader and Senior Consultant for the Commercial Services Division, leading strategy, technical and commercial projects, and due diligences. He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Western Illinois University (USA) and a Diploma in European Business Studies from Bamberg University, Germany, concluding as Diplom Kaufmann. He participated in various Executive Management Programs at IMD Lausanne (Switzerland), and Chicago Booth School of Business (USA). Jan is culturally diversified and has worked in many countries across Asia, Europe and the Americas.
