Acknowledging the valued contribution and pioneering efforts of its longestserving and most loyal personnel, INSEE Cement, the leading manufacturer of cement in Sri Lanka, held its Seniority Awards 2022, recently. 20 INSEE personnel working in locations and facilities from around the country who have successfully completed 20 or more years of dedicated service were presented with accolades of appreciation for their loyalty and service. Overall, the award recipients work in a range of functions at INSEE Cement, such as manufacturing, sales, procurement, logistics and finance.

The Seniority Awards were attended by members of INSEE Cement’s Executive Management Team and Departmental heads, including Chairman/ Chief Executive Officer, Nandana Ekanayake, and Chief People Officer, Thilanka Silva. Highlighting the significance of the event, Mr. Ekanayake noted that the Seniority Awards not only recognizes years of service but also the loyalty, dedication, commitment and sacrifices that have been made, not only by employees but also their families during their long tenures with the company.

Elaborating further Mr. Ekanayake said, “At INSEE Cement, we build for life, and thus, we deeply appreciate these individuals who, in many cases, have dedicated their lives to INSEE and our purpose. These Awards also highlight the unique relationship that we share with our people, here at INSEE, and are demonstrative of the mutual trust and commitment enjoyed between our people and the organization. I take this opportunity to congratulate and honour all the recipients of Seniority Awards this year.”

In an age where people move around frequently, it is a sign of INSEE’s warmth, hospitality, and healthy work environment, along with the trust they vest in us, that we have so many very long-serving people still with us, some for over 30 years.”

We have built winning relationships and used that platform to win together,” she added. “Today, we are an employer of choice, and adhere to the highest standards of workplace safety, ethics, and openness. At INSEE, when we say, we build for life, that includes our relationships with our people. The INSEE Seniority Awards, celebrate this achievement.”
